Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty

Nose Surgery, also known as rhinoplasty, is a procedure that can improve your overall appearance. Whether it be an aesthetic reason or to breath more freely, rhinoplasty can help. There are different ways that a rhinoplasty can be performed in order to give your face a more harmonious appearance such as:

  • Tip projection
  • Narrowing the hump
  • Improve breathing
  • Repair to a nose injury
  • Secondary or revision rhinoplasty
  • Chin augmentation

Using cutting edge 3D Vectra imaging, Dr. Macias will give you a better idea of what your outcome could look like. This system creates a 3 dimensional image of your face and allows Dr. Macias to alter your nose. By making these adjustments to the virtual image of your nose, you can discuss your desired results. This allows you to visualize your new nose and see how the changes affect your appearance.

Dr. Luis Macias, a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, specializes in rhinoplasty, secondary (revision) rhinoplasty & septoplasty (septorhinoplasty). He understands that not all rhinoplasties are alike and therefore he will tailor your surgery specifically for you. From a simple bump on the bridge of the nose, to a complex forth time revision rhinoplasty, Dr. Macias is experienced with the latest techniques including rib cartilage grafting and rectus abdominis or deep temporal fascia diced cartilage grafts.

Recovery

Rhinoplasty is a treatment that is performed in the operating room under general anesthesia. The procedure time is usually 2-3 hours but may vary in every case. The recovery process is typically 7 days, at which time the splints and any sutures are removed. You can expect some bruising that may last another week and swelling that will last a bit longer.
