Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a common procedure where excess skin and fat pads are removed from either the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both. The procedure is quick and painless. Most importantly, eyelid surgery will allow you to look how you feel; fresh, awake and confident! The most common reasons to treat eyelids are:
- Under eye bags
- Excess skin
- Soften eyelid wrinkles
- Drooping eyelids
Belpharoplasty is a procedure that can be performed under either local or general anesthesia. Often times it will be done in conjunction to a facelift, mini facelift, or other minimally invasive procedures and injectable treatments.
Sutures are removed 5 days after the procedure. You are able to get back to your regular day activities the next day, however you should refrain from exercise for 2 weeks.
